Video Capture Technology
The industry used to be monopolized by a select few due to the high cost of capture and editing equipment. With the advent of the ever popular Personal Computer and the development of Video cards that had the capability to accept and process analog signals from say a VCR or analog Camcorder converting it into digital form then formatting it for burning on DVD’s or Video CD’s it came into the realm of the general public. All that was needed was a capture card and software to make sense of it all.
